Emily was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2001. After successful treatment and four years in remission, a reoccurrence required her to have a life saving bone marrow transplant from her sister Catherine in March of 2006.

Unfortunately she recently relapsed and is in need of a non-related donor.  She is joined by many others, especially minorities, who are searching for these life saving matches. So please, help us pass along this message to anyone you know.  For more information about Emily, go to www.caringbridge.com/fl/emilylester

Nick McGinnis is a 12 year old 6th grader at Azalea Middle School. He also suffers from acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Originally diagnosed at age 3, he relapsed at age 6 and now isin need of a bone marrow transplant.

The focus of the Emily’s Team Drive at the Bay to Bay Road Race is to register as many people as possible so Emily and Nick will be cured.

There is also a very special need for minorities to join in the registry.
